Lewis Structure of an Anion

Hi

One relevant issue about Lewis structure is the determination of Lewis structure of anions because (a) the electron configuration of last level is related to the number of electrons of the anion but (2) the element (symbol) is determined by the number of protons (or number of electrons it would have in the case of neutral atom).
